Subaru EH72 Gear Reduction Clutch custom built by Continental Engines. This engine clutch setup is a custom build from Continental Engines.
No engine manufacturer currently offers an engine with a clutch on it or an engine with a combination clutch and reduction unit. The reduction unit reduces the output shaft RPM. The clutch enables the operator to disengage the engine from what it is driving without stopping the engine. It also enables you to start the engine without a load on it. It is used on pumps, compressors, dryers, mixers, conveyers, any application that needs to operate at a slower speed than the engine. |
